A Polish-American Wedding

I come from a 110% Polish family, all of us having been born in Poland.  Ethan on the otherhand is an American with a mixed European background.

Because of my background and family, we are incorporating alot of Polish traditions.

One of the first tradtions of the wedding day will be the Parents Blessing.
Prior to heading to the church, both families and the bridal party will gather at the bride's house.
Both sets of Parents will bless the couple with Holy Water and a prayer.
I know traditional American weddings usually do not have the bride seeing the groom prior to the ceremony, but we have chosen to follow the Polish way.

Another tradition is the Marriage Apron.
At the reception, when things are winding down and the  bouquet and garter toss have been done, we do an Apron dance.  The entire bridal party will gather around the bride and groom and dance in a circle.  The newlyweds are supposed to sit on two chairs covered by the bride's veil and kiss.  Depending on your DJs/Band mercy, it can be for 1-5 minutes.  The the Maid of Honor relieves the Bride of her veil and puts a white apron on her.  The Maid of Honor wears the veil instead.  It symbolizes a transition and its old school, but I like it so we are including it.
